Well, our first night out in our little trailer went great. We had a wonderful time at Staysail Park in Oak Harbor, WA. and everything worked like it should.
We got set up in our campsite and went for a short walk to pay our nightly fee. Had a nice chat with some neighbors, paid our fee and back to the RV. We decided to take a longer walk and went over to Freund Marsh which is next to the RV park and has a nice walking path through the marsh. We saw lots of Red Winged Blackbirds with the males displaying beautifully. A male Rufous hummingbird in the top of a tree and best of all and American Bittern, a new bird for both Lydia and I.
It was hard to pack up and come home this morning but this was only a shakedown cruise. We used our new Sewer Solution system for the first time to empty the black water and grey water tanks. This little unit works great and now I don't think I will ever be without one. Made it home and got the rig parked and now we can't wait to hit the road on the 8th of May.
Off to Camping World for last minute trailer items, an oil change in the truck and stock up at Costco next Friday and we will be ready to go!!
See you all soon.
Phil
